WAY Back Wednesday…

WAY Capital closed a $45 million bridge-to-stabilization loan for the San Francisco Proper Hotel, located in the heart of San Francisco’s Mid-Market District. The financing provided for the completion and stabilization of the then newly redeveloped luxury boutique hotel.
Originally built in 1926 and fully redeveloped by The Kor Group, the 131-key hotel integrates historic architectural charm with contemporary luxury design by Kelly Wearstler. The property features high-end amenities, including multiple dining venues (Villon, Charmaine’s Rooftop Lounge, and La Bande Café), a fitness center, private event spaces, and panoramic city views.
Through this closing, WAY Capital facilitated the continued growth of the Proper Hotels brand, which is known for redefining lifestyle hospitality in key U.S. urban markets such as San Francisco, Santa Monica, Downtown Los Angeles and Austin.
